Registration Underway for Summer II Classes

Jun 4, 2026

Registration is underway for Summer II and fall classes at the University of Arkansas Hope-Texarkana (UAHT). Summer II classes begin July 6, providing students with an excellent opportunity to earn college credit, stay on track for graduation, or get a head start on fall coursework.

UAHT offers over 50 degree and certificate programs, including an Associate of Arts in General Education degree that is 100% online, allowing students to complete the first two years of a bachelor's degree while balancing work, family, and other commitments. The AA in General Education degree can also be completed through evening classes on the UA Texarkana campus.

UAHT now offers two bachelor's degree programs, K-6 Elementary Education and General Business, through a partnership with the University of Arkansas at Monticello, allowing students to complete four-year degrees right here at home.

Students can also take advantage of UAHT's high-demand career and technical programs that prepare graduates for immediate employment opportunities. Programs are available in areas such as Cybersecurity, Computer Information Science, Nursing, Welding, Diesel Technology, HVAC, Industrial Electricity, Power Technologies, Teaching, Funeral Service, Fiber Optic, EMT and Paramedic, and many more.

The College remains one of the most affordable options for higher education in Arkansas. UAHT offers border county residents from Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana the same affordable in-state tuition rate as Arkansas residents.

Students may qualify for the Arkansas Future Grant (ArFuture), which covers tuition and mandatory fees for eligible students enrolled in qualifying certificate and associate degree programs. More than 25 UAHT programs qualify for ArFuture funding.

Another valuable opportunity for UAHT students is the Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship. This scholarship enables students who graduate from UAHT with an associate degree to transfer to the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville while continuing to pay UAHT's affordable tuition rate. Bowie County residents also qualify for this scholarship opportunity.

Summer classes are a great way to accelerate degree completion, improve scheduling flexibility, and reduce the time needed to earn a credential or degree. Students interested in enrolling for Summer II are encouraged to register soon before classes begin on July 6. To view a course schedule, visit https://www.uaht.edu/academics/course-schedules.php.
