I chose to attend UAHT for many reasons. The campus was just down the road from my house, and I received scholarships that made it possible for me to attend at almost no cost. Once I arrived on campus, I knew I had made a great decision. The faculty and staff were extremely personable and made college-level learning seem possible for every student.

However, one of the main reasons I chose to attend UAHT is because of the Arkansas Transfer Achievement Scholarship. I always dreamed of attending the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville, so when I heard that if I attained my Associate degree at UAHT, I could transfer to the U of A at UAHTs tuition rate, I was all-in! Attending the U of A would have just remained a dream without the transfer scholarship. Now I am living my dream of being a Razorback. I cannot imagine going to college anywhere else, and UAHT helped make this possible.

I had always dreamed of going straight to the U of A right after high school. After discussing it with my family, however, it seemed clear that attending a community college first was the right choice for me. At eighteen years old, I was just not ready to live alone at a large university four hours away from home. Attending a community college first gave me more time with my family, a jump start at independence, and an opportunity to adjust to college life.

My experience at UAHT was one Ill never forget. I had excellent instructors and was able to take classes with many friends from high school. There was a great sense of community at UAHT, which made it easier to maintain the stress of taking on college for the first time. After experiencing large classes at the U of A, Im glad I could start with small classes at UAHT, where I could get to know my teachers and receive more one-on-one instruction if needed.

I feel that UAHT was the bridge I needed between high school and a 4-year university. UAHT provided the stabilization I needed to thrive at the U of A. The classes I took aided me tremendously with my classes in Fayetteville. UAHT helped me jumpstart my college journey! I am so grateful for everything UAHT has done for me. I hope everyone takes advantage of this fantastic opportunity and joins me in cheering on the Hogs at the University of Arkansas!
