UACCH-Texarkana is currently enrolling students for a New Allied Health Program that will begin July 1. The new Registered Nurse to Emergency Medical Technician course is designed to prepare
the experienced RN for the EMT license administered by the Arkansas Health Department. This course assists the RN to gain additional skills necessary for work in the field of emergency response, flight nursing, and first responder. The course includes assessment, trauma and medical intervention, splinting, use of spine boards, bandaging, and out of hospital emergency care at a basic level. Content will be adjusted due to the education and experience of the RN.
