The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope would like to ask the Hope Community to help welcome 500 student nurses to Hope on March 20th for the Arkansas License Practical Nursing Association Conference that is being held in Hempstead Hall.

The Arkansas License Practical Nursing (LPN) Association hosts a Practical Nursing student conference/competition every year.  This event has traditionally been held in Batesville, but with the completion of Hempstead Hall, this year it will be hosted at UACCH.  The Association expects 500 students from all over the state to attend and compete this year.

The conference will start Thursday, March 20, 2014 at 8am and continue throughout the entire day and conclude on Friday March, March 21.  The day’s events include medical spelling bee, quiz bowl, job interview, CPR competitions, Medical Terminology, & Pharmacology.  One highlight of Thursday night is the famous Talent show. UACCH has taken 1st place in this competition the last 2 years (and many other times in the past).

On Friday, activities will include the Practical Nursing students will presenting their prepared speeches in front of all 500 students, as well as, an award ceremony and trophy presentations to conclude the two day conference.
