The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope is pleased to announce that 97% of the 33 Practical Nursing Students who took the State Nursing Board Exam passed the first time. This is an 8% increase over last year’s first-time pass rate. When students and faculty were asked what one element would you accredit to the increased success they were quick to discuss the increased simulation experiences that have been added to the UACCH nursing program as a key aid to the increased success.

Simulation was first added with the purchase of the SimMan in 2007. This technology has allowed students to work through simulated scenarios multiple times and helps with learning and retaining the information that is need to be successful in the nursing field. Last year this simulation lab was expanded with the use of Economic Incentive Funds and added as a rotation in the Practical Nursing program.

Congratulations on a job well done.
