The UACCH Career Pathways Initiative held its first Student Appreciation Luncheon Wednesday, March 02, 2011. Students ate pizza and received door prizes provided by both Career Pathways and the UACCH Bookstore. They learned about new policies and upcoming events and completed applications for graduation.
The UACCH Career Pathways Initiative is a program to help custodial parents attend community colleges. Central to the program is a library of textbooks the students can borrow while attending college. The program also provides workbooks, tools, and testing fees to eligible students.
Director of the program is Dr. Claudia Griffin. Other staff members are Jana Walker and Sonya Thomas, Counselors; Linda Waller, Employability Specialist; and Ramona Brown, Administrative Assistant. More information about Career Pathways can be obtained by calling the program at 870-722-8525.
