The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope is pleased to announce that Bridge Builder participation has increased to 89% of UACCH employees to bring this year’s accumulative pledges to the Foundation to approximately $12,000.  Bridge Builders are faculty and staff who designate a portion of their paychecks to be donated to the UACCH Foundation.  The College is pleased to have 89% faculty and staff participation during this year’s open season for employees to make changes to their payroll deductions.

Payroll deductions range from $1 to $50 per pay period.  Employee contributions to Bridge Builders funded 3 scholarships that were awarded in the fall semester and are continuing into the spring semester.   Each employee who participates in the Bridge Builder program at a certain level was given a complementary red monogrammed Bridge Builder Stadium Chair.  Many of these employees gathered to receive their gifts and take part in a group photograph.

Chancellor Chris Thomason said, “It is great to be a part of the UACCH family and have so many who believe in the College’s mission of helping students that they make personal contributions to the UACCH Foundation as Bridge Builders.  By faculty and staff donating to the Bridge Builders fund, the program serves as another example of that exemplary student focus we have at UACCH.  It truly is our desire to see our students succeed.”

The College greatly appreciates all the support it receives from the community and looks forward to continuing to work together with the community, as well as with faculty and staff, to assure that more people have the opportunity to build their bridge to a greater future through higher education.  For more information about UACCH, visit our website at www.uacch.edu.
