The University of Arkansas at Hope would like to invite the community to join in a founding day celebration coffee honoring J.W. Rowe on Wednesday, July 1, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. The coffee will also feature a brief ceremony and oa Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce ribbon cutting at 10:00 a.m. at the front of the Administration Building.
Red River Vo-Tech broke ground on July 1, 1965, for the construction of the Administration building. The college has made many additions throughout 50 years of service, but has strived to keep the student focused approach that was a key element in the founding of the college. J.W. Rowe served as director of the College from 1965 until 1987. He will be in attendance to help celebrate this 50 years of service.
