The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope Foundation would like to thank everyone who helped make the Tracy Lawrence concert a success. Despite the August heat, over 2,200 people came out for an outstanding concert. As the opening act, Hope’s own Jason Helms fired up the crowd with his award winning Jason Helms Band and its mix of original songs.
UACCH-sponsored Watermelon Idol, Maegan Estes, was up next and impressed her hometown crowd with two popular country songs prior to Tracy Lawrence taking the stage.
Award winning country music artist Tracy Lawrence, a native of Foreman, referenced the concert as a family reunion due to all the friends and family who had come out to hear him. He debuted songs from his new album and sang hit after hit for over an hour and a half.
The concert is a partnership between the UACCH Foundation and the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce. The Foundation’s shares of the funds raised are used to help the Foundation provide scholarships and assist students.
