UA Hope-Texarkana Spring Break Amtrak Educational Adventure 2016
UAHT Student Activities is sponsoring an educational spring break trip March 21 – 24, 2016 traveling on the Amtrak Texas Eagle. Students will leave Hope on the Texas Eagle on Monday evening at 9:18 p.m. and travel overnight arriving in St. Louis at 7:19 a.m. Students will be traveling in private roomettes in the sleeping car on the train and eat breakfast on the train. We will explore downtown St. Louis on March 22 and March 23 including the world-famous arch, the Museum of Westward Expansion, and the City Museum. We will stay the night of March 22 in the St. Louis City Center Hotel. Students will board the train for the return trip on March 23 at 7:21 p.m. and arrive back in Hope at 5:09 a.m. on March 24.
The cost is $150 per student and includes roundtrip train tickets with breakfast on March 22 and dinner on March 23, hotel accommodations, and tickets to the museums. Students will be responsible for lunch and dinner on March 22 and lunch on March 23. A non-refundable $25 deposit is due January 14. The balance ($125) is due on February 15.
