AEP/SWEPCO Power Plant Technology Annual Scholarship
The Power Plant Technology Scholarship is a $1000 award ($500 fall, $500 spring) for full time students and a $500 award ($250 fall, $250 spring) for less than full time students who are pursuing an Associate of Applied Science degree in Power Plant Technology at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.

Scholarship Eligibility

  1. If student has not previously attended college, he/she must be a high school graduate with a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher or have received a GED
  2. Student with previous college must have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 2.5
  3. Student must enroll each fall and spring semester in no less than 6 credit hours of courses that apply toward the AAS in Power Plant Technology degree
  4. Student must maintain at least a GPA of 2.5 in courses that apply toward the AAS in Power Plant Technology degree
  5. Student must successfully complete at least 6 credit hours each fall and spring semesters
  6. Student must file the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each calendar year

 

Ace Electric Annual Scholarship
Dave and Judy Phillips offer financial support through the Ace Electric Annual Scholarship to a student at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $500 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $250 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Student must be pursuing a degree or technical certificate in a Technical or Industrial program of study
  3. Student must be non-Pell eligible
  4. Preference given to student seeking a degree in Industrial Electricity
  5. Preference given to non-traditional student

 

Bill Routon Endowed Scholarship
Bonnie Routon offers financial support through the Bill Routon Endowed Scholarship to a student at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled in a Technical and Industrial Program
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher

 

Donnie Wilson Memorial Endowed Scholarship
The Donnie Wilson Memorial Endowed Scholarship offers financial support to a student who is seeking a degree in the Technical and Industry field at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a full-time student (enrolled in at least 12 credit hours)
  2. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student must be accepted into a Technical and Industrial program of study
  4. Preference given to Blevins High School graduate

 

Georgia-Pacific Academic Award for Excellence in Technology Annual Scholarship
The Georgia-Pacific Academic Award for Excellence in Technology Annual Scholarship offers support to a student at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $1,000 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be pursuing a degree in the Technical & Industrial field
  2. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Preference given to a student in a racial/ethnic minority population

 

Ivan Bright Memorial Rotary Annual Scholarship
The Rotary Club of Hope offers financial support through the Ivan Bright Memorial Rotary Annual Scholarship to a student at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $1,000 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a full-time student (enrolled in 12 credit hours or more)
  2. Student must be a returning U or A Hope • Texarkana student
  3. Student must have/maintain a  2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  4. Student must be pursuing a technical degree/certificate

 

James A. McLarty, Jr. Endowed Scholarship
The James A. McLarty, Jr. Endowed Scholarship offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Preference given to student enrolled in the Diesel Technology Program

 

Kevin McKinnon Annual Scholarship
The Kevin McKinnon Annual Scholarship offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $500 scholarship is paid in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $250 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows;

  1. Student must be pursuing a Technical & Industrial degree
  2. Student must he a Hempstead or Nevada county resident
  3. Student must have/maintain 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  4. Preference given to non-traditional student
  5. Preference given to a student how has displayed the ability to accomplish projects utilizing fewer resources than typically would have been expected

 

Wesley Woodard Economic Development Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Hempstead County Economic Development Corporation offers financial support to a student enrolled at U of A Hope • Texarkana through the Wesley Woodard Economic Development Memorial Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be pursuing a degree in the Technical and Industrial field
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student must be a resident or employed in Hempstead County
