Denny and Kathryn Dickinson Endowed Scholarship
Denny and Kathryn Dickinson offers financial support to a student enrolled at U of A Hope • Texarkana and has declared as their career goal to become a teacher.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled in the Associate of Arts General Education degree or Associate of Arts in Teaching degree with teaching as their declared career goal
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student must be enrolled in at least 9 hours
  4. Preference given to Hempstead County resident

 

Dr. Gene and Frances Ross Annual Scholarship
Mike and Holly Ross offer financial support through the Dr. Gene and Frances Ross Annual Scholarship to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $1,000 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Preference given to student pursuing a teaching degree
  3. Preference given to Nevada county resident

 

Jim and Lindy Franks Endowed Scholarship
Jim and Lindy Franks offers financial support through the Jim and Lindy Franks Endowed Scholarship to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Student must be pursuing a degree in education
  3. Preference will be given to a Nevada County resident

 

Jim Pruden Memorial Endowed Scholarship
Jerry and Twyla Pruden offers financial support to a student enrolled at U of A Hope • Texarkana through the Jim Pruden Memorial Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be pursuing an Associate of Arts in Teaching degree
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Preference given to a student who plans to continue his/her education by pursuing certification in Special Education
  4. Preference given to non-traditional student

 

Mary Nell & McDowell Turner Annual Scholarship
Mary Nell and McDowell Turner offer financial support for a student who is pursuing a teaching degree at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $1,000 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Preference given to student pursuing a teaching degree in secondary education
  3. Preference given to female student

 

Muriel June Webb McLarty Endowment Scholarship
The Muriel June Webb McLarty Endowment Scholarship offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours per semester
  3. Student must be pursuing a teaching degree in elementary education

 

Ronald Sweat Family Endowed Scholarship
The Ronald Sweat Family offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana. This is a fall-spring scholarship and paid in two consecutive semesters in the same academic year. The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled in at least 9 credit hours per semester
  2. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student must be pursuing a teaching degree in math or science
  4. Preference will be given to a Blevins High School graduate
