Dennis and Linda Ramsey offer financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana through the A.B. & Pauline King Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled at least half-time student (6 credit hours or more)
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher

 

AEP SWEPCO Non-Traditional Annual Scholarship
AEP SWEPCO offers financial support to students who are seeking a degree or technical certificate at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  The amount and number of scholarships are contingent upon funding.

  1. Student must be a non-traditional student.  A non-traditional student is defined as a student who meets one or more of the following criteria:
  • 25 years of age or older
  • Has dependents other than spouse
  • Returning to school after a period of time
  • Married
  • Works full-time while enrolled in college
  • Gender career program (e.g. female in welding or male in nursing)
  1. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Preference given to students enrolled at U of A Hope • Texarkana, Texarkana site

 

American Legion Leslie Huddleston Post #12 Annual Scholarship
The American Legion Leslie Huddleston Post #12 offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana through the American Legion Leslie Huddleston Post #12 Scholarship.  This $1,000 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a Veteran or a dependent of a Veteran
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Preference given to Hempstead County resident

 

AmeriTies South Endowed Scholarship
AmeriTies South Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a resident of Hempstead County
  2. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Preference given to student with the greatest unmet need

The BancorpSouth Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a full-time student (enrolled in 12 credit hours or more)
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher

The Bank of the Ozarks Endowed Scholarship is awarded to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a full-time student (enrolled in 12 credit hours or more)
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher

 

Blevins Alumni Endowed Scholarship
Martha Sutton Maple offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana through the Blevins High School Alumni Scholarship.  This scholarship is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours
  2. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. First preference given to current Blevins High School graduate; if no current BHS graduate applies, scholarship may be offered to a BHS graduate returning to school

 

Clyde Coffee Memorial Science Endowed Scholarship
Coffee Family Dental offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana through the Clyde Coffee Memorial Science Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a returning U of A Hope • Texarkana student
  2. Student must be enrolled as a full-time student (enrolled in 12 credit hours or more)
  3. Student must have successfully completed 15 credit hours
  4. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher

 

Commercial National Bank Annual Scholarship
Commercial National Bank offers financial support to a full-time student at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  The $1,000 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a current Miller County or Bowie County resident
  2. Student must be a full-time student on Texarkana site (enrolled in at least 12 credit hours)
  3. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher

Dave and Judy Phillips offer financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana through the Dave & Judy Phillips Science and Technology scholarship.  This $500 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $250 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be pursuing a degree in a STEM field (science, technology, engineering or math)
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Preference given to a student focusing on a profession in the Information Technology field

 

Ed Thaxton Science Annual Scholarship
Ed Thaxton offers financial support to a student who is seeking a degree at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $500 scholarship is payable in the fall semester.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be a returning U of A Hope • Texarkana student
  2. Student must be enrolled as a full-time student (12 credit hours or more)
  3. Student must have successfully completed at least one science course with lab
  4. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  5. Student must be non-Pell eligible
  6. Student must be non-traditional student

Howard Prichard offers financial support to a student who is seeking an associate degree at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana through the Hazel W. Prichard Memorial Endowed Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled as a full-time student (taking 12 or more credit hours)

The Hope/Hempstead County Business & Professional Women’s Club offers financial support to a student enrolled in vocational or professional studies at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana through the Lenora Routon Cross Scholarship.  This is a fall-spring payable in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must live in Hempstead County
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.8 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student must be enrolled in vocational or professional studies

 

Hope Junior Auxiliary Annual Scholarship
The Hope Junior Auxiliary Annual Scholarship offers financial support for a student at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $500 scholarship is paid in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $250 per semester).  Continue eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be Hempstead County resident
  2. Student must be non-traditional
  3. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  4. Preference given to an active associate or life JA member or dependent
  5. Preference given to a student pursuing a degree with emphasis on the health and/or welfare of children (i.e. nursing, teaching or early childhood education)

 

Hope Lions Club Johnny Rapert Memorial Annual Scholarship
The Hope Lions Club offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $1,000 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled as a full-time student (taking 12 or more credit hours)
  2. Student must have completed the equivalent of 1 year of college (24 semester hours) with a minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student must be a Hempstead County resident

 

Hope Water & Light Endowed Scholarship
Hope Water & Light offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled as a full-time student (taking 12 or more credit hours)
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student (or student’s parent (s) if Student is a dependent student) must reside in and receive utility services from Hope Water & Light. Proof of residence and services received must be verified via your monthly utility statement or printout from HW&L

 

Houston Gunter Endowed Scholarship
The Houston Gunter Endowed Scholarship offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is payable in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours per semester
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher

 

James and Gloria McFadden Annual Scholarship
William & Debra Crews and Monica Johnson offers financial support through the James and Gloria McFadden Annual Scholarship to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is payable in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours per semester
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.75 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Preference given to Hempstead County resident who is actively involved in the community
  4. Preference given to student with the greatest unmet need
  5. Preference given to student focusing on a profession in nursing or supply chain management

 

James A. McLarty, Jr. Endowed Scholarship

The U of A Hope • Texarkana Faculty Senate offers financial support through the Patty Tucker Faculty Senate Annual Scholarship to a student at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $500 scholarship is awarded in the fall semester each year.  Scholarship criteria are as follows:

  1. Student must be a returning, full-time student (taking 12 or more credit hours)
  2. Student must have a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student must be an Arkansas resident

 

Piper West Endowed Scholarship

  1. Student must be enrolled as a full-time student (taking 12 or more credit hours)
  2. Student must be seeking a degree in the field of technology
  3. Student must have/maintain a 3.0 cumulative GPA or higher
  4. Student must be a resident of Hempstead, Nevada or Howard Counties

 

Rigger Fest Group Endowed Scholarship
The Rigger Fest Group Endowed Scholarship offers financial support to a student at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is paid in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled at least half-time (6 credit hours or more)
  2. Student must be seeking a degree/certificate in a Career Technical Education (CTE) program
  3. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  4. Preference will be given to a student who has been laid off work and/or injured on the job and returned to school to receive a degree which will enable them to return to the work force

 

Sammie Cox Memorial Annual Scholarship
The Sammie Cox Memorial Annual Scholarship offers financial support to a student enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $1,000 scholarship is payable in two consecutive semesters (fall-spring; $500 per semester).  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  2. Student must be a student graduating from Redwater High School

 

Senator Jim & Charlotte Hill Public Service Endowed Scholarship

University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana Administrators, Faculty and Staff offer financial support through the U of A Hope • Texarkana Bridge Builders Annual Scholarship to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This is a fall-spring scholarship and is payable in two consecutive semesters during the same academic year.  The dollar amount and number of scholarships awarded are based on fund availability.  Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours

The U of A Hope • Texarkana Fine Arts Club offers financial support to a student who is enrolled at the University of Arkansas Hope • Texarkana.  This $500 scholarship is paid in the fall semester. Continued eligibility is subject to academic performance and other scholarship criteria as follows:

  1. Student must be enrolled in at least six (6) credit hours
  2. Student must have/maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA or higher
  3. Student must have successfully completed at least one college level fine arts course (art, drama, film, music, creative writing, etc.)
  4. Preference given to a current member of the U of A Hope • Texarkana Fine Arts Club
