The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope recently recognized 65 individuals who performed Random Acts of Kindness. The nominations were received from across the campus.  Last Tuesday and Wednesday during the noon hour, a campus wide lunch followed by a ceremony in the Student Center recognized individuals from across the campus who have performed random acts of kindness.  The Random Acts of Kindness ceremony, or RAK as it is known on campus, is organized by a committee of faculty, staff, and students.  The group worked hard to make this year’s ceremony a special time at UACCH.  Door prizes and gift bags were provided for the honored students by several local merchants.

The Random Acts of Kindness program was of great interest to the four reviewers who were at UACCH  during the recent North Central Accreditation visit.  They listened inquisitively as faculty shared information about the RAK program on the UACCH campus.  This program, which appears to be unique to UACCH, is a way to recognize publically those Random Acts of Kindness people do for us each day.
