The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope is proud to announce a $3,000 donation by Pharr Funeral Home to establish three (3) $1,000 scholarships for students pursuing a degree in Funeral Science. The Scholarships will be for the Fall 2012 and Spring 2013 academic year to benefit a student enrolled in the UACCH Funeral Services program.
The funeral services program is a great opportunity for people to make a good living serving the members of a community. UACCH is proud to offer this program on the Hope campus as well as in Hot Springs on the National Park Community College campus through a partnership with UACCH.
Terry Pharr said, “Pharr Funeral Homes has been a proud member of the communities of Hope, Prescott, and Gurdon for over 120 years, and we take great pride in serving the needs of our residents. We would like to thank the great sponsors and participants of the first Pharr Funeral Home Scholarship Golf Tournament. It is with great pleasure Wendy and I present these three $1000 scholarships to be awarded to 3 young people from our area.”
UACCH would like to thank Pharr Funeral Home for establishing this new scholarship to assist students with their educational goals. UACCH is committed to being “Your Bridge to a Brighter Future.” Visit the College website today to learn more about financial aid assistance for students at UACCH.
