Over 300 people attended the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope Foundation’s 6th Annual Beads, Bags, and the Blue Yonder Fundraiser on Thursday, March 8. The event was held at the Hope Airport in the Historic 1940 Hope Hangar and featured the Stardust Big Band, a style and fashion show, a silent auction, and several vendors.
The hangar was transformed with lighting effects and floral decorations that had many dancing the night away. A drawing was held for a Tag Heuer watch donated by Alexander’s Jewelers of Texarkana. The winner of the watch is Ms. LaDell Harris.
With a “traveling-in-style” theme, guests took advantage of the valet parking to avoid the stormy weather of the night. This fundraising event will benefit the UACCH Kids’ College Program held each summer at the College.
The Foundation would like to thank the BBB Committee for their work on this event. The event sponsors included Top Gun Sponsors Dr. Carter & Smiles of Arkansas Dental Center; Town and Country Catering, Holiday Inn Express, and Best Western; Penny and Chris Thomason; and Alexander’s Jewelers.
