FORMAL INVITATION

There are many advantages to partnerships in the community, especially in the area of community awareness. The Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission, with the assistance of the Arkansas Department of Human Services, has implemented a program that is designed to encourage youth to engage in positive leadership development and roles within their communities. Therefore, the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission will host “Nonviolence Youth Summit Part V”, at the University of Arkansas Community College at Hope’s Johnny Rapert Library Complex located at 2500 South Main, Hope, AR 71802, (501) 683-1300, which will be held on Friday, October 21, 2011 from 7:30 am to 3:00 pm.

Schedule:

  • 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM: Sign-In/Registration
  • 8:30 AM to 9:00 AM: Meet & Greet/VIP Breakfast/Visit Vendors
  • 9:00 AM to 9:40 AM: Opening Session in Main Auditorium
  • 9:40 AM to 10:00 AM: Intermission/Report to First Set of Breakout Sessions
  • 10:00 AM to 10:40 AM: First Breakout Sessions
  • 10:40 AM to 11:00 AM: Intermission/Report to Second Set of Breakout Sessions
  • 11:00 AM to 11:40 AM: Second Breakout Sessions
  • 11:40 AM to 1:00 PM: Visit Vendors/Lunch/Report to Keynote Presentation
  • 1:00 PM to 1:40 PM: Keynote Speaker in Main Auditorium
  • 1:40 PM to 2:00 PM: Intermission/Visit Vendors/Report to Last Set of Breakout Sessions
  • 2:00 PM to 2:40 PM: Last Breakout Session
  • 2:40 PM to 3:00 PM: Evaluations/Dismissal

Therefore, the Arkansas Martin Luther King, Jr. Commission cordially invites your youth (to be accompanied by several adult chaperons) to the “Nonviolence Youth Summit Part V”. We ask that you RSVP as soon as possible, so that everyone who attends will be accommodated accordingly (free lunch along with other freebies will be provided since the AMLKC will not be able to provide transportation).
