The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope is pleased to announce that Karen O’Dell recently attended the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Conference in Austin, Texas, were she was recognized as the UACCH recipient of the NISOD Excellence Award.

NISOD was established in 1978 with the goal of emphasizing the importance of teaching and leadership excellence in institutions of higher education. NISOD has worked to serve, engage, and inspire teachers and leaders through its conferences, publications, web services, partnerships, programs, and more. Since 1989, when NISOD held its first awards ceremony, NISOD has been holding the awards ceremony during the International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence. The NISOD Excellence Award tradition allows the organization the privilege of honoring so many of the world’s best in higher education.

UACCH is pleased that Karen O’Dell was honored this year as the NISOD Excellence Award Recipient. O’Dell has served as the Administrative Assistant for the Technical and Industrial as well as the Math and Science Departments at UACCH since 2001.
