Members of the Friday Music Club gathered for a reception Thursday evening to celebrate the arrival of the restored Steinway and Sons grand piano the club donated to the UACCH Foundation. Over the past few months the piano has been undergoing complete restoration by the Arkansas authorized Steinway technician, Barry Bradshaw, owner of Bradshaw Piano in Conway.
The piano is in the rotunda of Hempstead Hall and during the reception members of the club shared their favorite Christmas piece on this fabulous instrument. Along with the sharing of the beautiful music was the sharing of stories of how this piano, which was purchased in late 1945, had touched so many in Hope through its being a part of the Friday Music Club. Club Members were excited to see this restored instrument beginning its new role in the community.
