Hope Collegiate & Professions Academy High School Pilot Application Acceptance
August 3, 2018 @ 8:00 am - August 7, 2018 @ 5:00 pm
The Hope Collegiate & Professions Academy High School Pilot application for admission will be reopened from August 2 through 7. The opportunity to join the first class of the Hope Collegiate & Professions Academy Pilot High School is the result of recent developments in Arkansas regarding the school choice law in our service area.
Interested students must complete the academy application found at https://goo.gl/forms/9vadibTaUHWQa2HN2 by 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 7. Students must also complete the ACCUPLACER exam for entrance requirements. To schedule an exam, call the U of A Hope Testing Center at 870-722-8247. If a student has already completed an application, they need not submit another.
The collegiate academy pilot is for students who will be entering the 10th grade. The academy is a partnership between the HPSD and U of A Hope and is located on the U of A Hope campus. Students must reside in the HPSD, be enrolled as a Hope Public School student, and meet the academy entrance requirements to attend. The academy is a public school that is free of charge.
The Hope Collegiate & Professions Academy Pilot is part of a conversion charter application process before the Arkansas Department of Education. Once the conversion charter application is approved, the goal of the academy is to provide academic and career pathways to a diverse community of high school students through a three-year curriculum that enables students to complete a high school diploma and an associate degree, simultaneously, in either academic transfer or technical education.
