The University of Arkansas Community College at Hope Foundation and the Hope-Hempstead County Chamber of Commerce are excited to be bringing headliner Easton Corbin to Hope, Arkansas, for the 36th Annual Hope Watermelon Festival. Headliner Easton Corbin will take the stage at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday, August 11.
Recently, Corbin celebrated being the first solo country male artist in 17 years to have his first two singles go to Number 1. The lyrics of those two hits, “A Little More Country Than That” and “Roll With It,” reflect Corbin’s country roots. Easton Corbin was born and raised in rural Gilchrist County, Florida. A member of the FFA and 4-H, Corbin grew-up working on his grandfather’s Florida farm and showing cattle at local livestock fairs. Corbin recalls that as a young boy he knew he wanted to be a country music singer.
After earning a business degree through the College of Agriculture at the University of Florida, Easton shared in a press release that he took two important steps in his life. “My wife and I got married on September 2, 2006, and on October 14 we moved to Nashville, Tennessee.
Corbin has had several hit singles including “I Can’t Love You Back”, “The Way Love Looks”, and his new single “Lovin’ You is Fun.” Corbin, who has toured with Brad Paisley, Blake Shelton, and Rascal Flatts, is sure to provide an outstanding concert for all those in attendance on August 11 at the CMC Steel Products outdoor stage at Hope Fair Park.
